Thanks. I just used a dryer to shrinkwrap a bag that was specifically designed to be used with a hair dryer. But if I was doing a lot of baskets, I would def get a heat gun….
Yes it does depend on the trype of dryer and how hot it gets, but a Heat Gun is still hella better!! and FASTER
Delightful i think shrinkwrap is fruity with a delicate texture i like bubblewrap as well but its not as strong
I found your demo very helpful. I now know that I need a heat gun to pull up an old linoleum floor.

You make a good point about heat guns and hair dryers, as I’ve heard that some designers have had no problem with the latter.
I’ve had my heat gun for years, and it’s never had a problem. I’m hoping that the one you choose has the same great track record.
I use a hair dryer in my business to shrink wrap all the time and it works as fast and as well as the heat gun. It does depend on the dryer used.

the heat gun worked better, heat guns rule. how long do you think a heat gun will run continuosly until it breaks or possibly burns up.

This was very information. I did use a hair dryer to shrink shrink wrap before and it did work, but it had a home-made look instead of professional look. I sell Passion Party items and I was trying to creat gift baskets. Thanks for the info

Great series, thank you for posting. I think my heating element is fine, but I don’t have the space to take out the drum and check the thermal cut-off etc. Isn’t there some “glow ignition” I am supposed to check (before I give in and call a repair person)? Thanks for all the helpful info.
Driers do not "create" lint.
Do you ever hang your clothes out to dry on a clothesline? The stiffness from drying on the line is mainly lint.
Since the clothes circle and get blown around, they fabrics soften, allowing worn pieces of the cloth to break free, causing lint.
