i cant stand my dry, bristly hair anymore!?

my hair used to be down to my butt; and as soft as silk! and then about a year and a half ago i cut it to above my shoulders (biggest mistake of my life). since then it has barely grown at all, and is dry and feels like a broom! i dont know what happened! i know it sounds dumb, but it feels like my hair went into shock! what is a good hydrator, or deep conditioner that will make my hair soft again? i want my hair healthy and soft again! when my man plays with my hair, im really self conscious because its not anyyyywhere how it used to be :[ any help is greatly appreciated!

you can use john frieda frizz-ease serum, its great just take about a penny size amount in the palm of your hand, or more depending on how long ur hair is, and while ur hair is damp or wet just put the product all over and apply it a lot to the ends, let it dry or blow dry it and it will be soft as butter, and really shiny.
Try these products, i think they work really good.

.But don’t use it for three minutes,put it in put a shower cag on your hair and leave it in for an hour,do this once a week.also use hydrating conditioner like ”Hello Hydration” every night and use baby shampoo.Refrain from over brushing and hairdye and heat styling tools. Hope I helped good luck

I would do a hot oil treatment on it, you buy them at any walmart in the shampoo isle. also that mane and tail shampoo they sell is very good too! I have very long hair and when my hair gets like that i use that stuff. also if you google home remedies for healthy hair it will give you recipes for hair masks and stuff. good luck!
use Mayonnaise on your hair to make it soft.
And get some Horsetail herbs and take them and your hair will be lovely and soft again and grow out long .
also when you are pregnant your hair suffers and can be brittle etc.
Don’t beat yourself up because you cut your hair. Cutting your hair cannot make it change texture and condition. Think…are you using some kind of different products on your hair since you cut it? Did you have it chemically altered? Are you using more heat styling appliances? These things can cause it to seem dryer and less manageable than it was before. The hair shaft (the part you can see) is made up of dead protein cells and is not affected by cutting.
Your hair will grow back. In the meantime why not just use the same products you used before you cut your hair, since you were happy with the way it looked and felt? :
I use the John Freida Frizz- Ease. My hair did the same thing. I was really angry so i tried everything that I could to fix it. I don’t recommend using the Herbal Essences. Also, wash it twice with the shampoo both in cold/warm water then condition it. Then when you get out of the shower don’t brush it. Comb it.
