How do i stop my hair from standing on end?

Everytime i shower in the morning and dry my hair with a towel my hair starts to stand on end, this seems to last about till the evening which is when it starts to look more normal.
I use vo5 shampoo(volume, i think) everyday if that makes a difference
it really annoys me becuase i would like to grow my hair but it just looks too messy in the morning.
PLEASE HELP ME i've had this problem for about a couple of years now.

i have super thick and frizzy hair so it’s like the best thing in the world for it
or find anything that says “sleek”, “frizz-free”, “no fly-aways”, or “smooth” on it.

and don’t use volumizing shampoo, use shampoo that makes it sleek or something
gel? mousse? maybe change the shampoo.
A little hairspray. Is it just staticky? If so, the hairspray will fix it (also works if you forget to put a dryer sheet in with your clothes). Otherwise, a flat iron will work, but takes a little time (make sure you don’t get it too hot! Get one with an adjustable temperature and ceramic plates.) Frizz eaze will help, too, but make sure you only put it on from your neck down. If you get it on the roots, it will make your hair very oily.
I’ve fought this same issue my whole life. My final solution? My hair is actually a little curly, and I should just give in to the curl. You might try it some time. Get samples of curl-enhancing shampoo and conditioner, put some curl activator in when you get out of the shower. Scrunch in some mousse. You might find your frizz issue is really just you fighting curl you didn’t know you had. A picture would help!

i don't think u will be able to stop your period now as u missed on of the pills which left a gap for your period to start there is no harm in trying to take the pill tomoro in the hope it will stop ur period or lighten it at least but i think u should just let ur body have the period this week properly as i don;t think u can stop it now
