the difference is one operates on electricity, the other on gas.
If you install an electric dryer, you need a special 240 volt outlet and a special line run to your breaker panel to power the dryer. This can cost a bit, depending on location and how many walls you have to cut open.
If you breaker box doesn't have enough capability, you will need a new service drop from the street. That can get very expensive.

Just had a dryer fire. Over 200,000 damage, living in a hotel now. Our dryer was super clean but I think it had a defect where the lint collected inside the drum. It was a Frigidaire. Clean your dryer every week could of cost more damage than a burned up house.
Trust me, knowing those tidibits of information doesn't spoil the series at all; there's so much more to it, and you'll definitely enjoy it.
my aunt did this and her hair is now extremely dry. using straight iron to straighten it is okay but blowdrying your hair is the worst thing! especially when its curly!
I think the aspirator is your best bet..just make sure to not put it too far up in her nose or make it a game of some sort so she doesn't get so uncomfortable. I don't remember what age we started but probably around walking/crawling ages or a little later I started telling my kids to blow and hold a tissue to their nose. I'd do it myself to imitate what they should be trying to do. Making sure to show them the air was coming out of my nose only. Then we were able to make it more fun..and I still do it with my 3 yr old now. I say ok now a BIG ONE! or BLOW BIG! Something like that..they think its funny and it gets all the snot out! Of course even tho it seems like a small task..it was hard for mine to pick up. I always followed up a successful "blow" with a high five or a great job!

If you blow dry curly hair it will just get poofy and huge–it is not straightening in the slightest unless you have wavy hair (not exactly ringlets). To get straight hair you would have to use a flat iron, which would make your hair stick straight. Good quality irons are expensive and it is a very long process to straighten curly hair (unless it's really short).

Provided the clothes are fully spun, one washload should typically take less than 2 hours on 3kW heat, if they are heavy (towels etc) they may need longer, if light (polycotton) then maybe only an hour. When setting the timer, bear in mind that it will take 10-15 mins to get up to full heat, and that some machines tumble cold for the last 10-15 mins, to reduce creasing, check whether yours does this.

Give them a go. They're definitely not too childish, my parents read them. Just be forewarned, they're somewhat different from the movies. In my opinion, the books are better but a friend who has read them after seeing the movies liked the movies better. They are incredible books though so I hope you chose to read them.
